Reyes Moronta, who spent portions of six seasons in the MLB with four different organisations, died unexpectedly on Sunday night at the age of 31. Moronta, who last pitched for the Bravos de Leon in the Mexican League this year, died in a traffic accident.
Moronta signed as an international free agent with the San Francisco Giants in 2010 at the age of 17, and he made his way up to the majors over time. He spent the majority of his Major League Baseball career with the Giants, but he also pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks, and, most recently, the Los Angeles Angels in the 2023 season.
