McCallan Castles’ football journey has taken him from South Tahoe to Cal, then UC Davis, Tennessee, and now the Philadelphia Eagles.
During the Eagles’ sixth training camp practice at Lincoln Financial Field, undrafted rookie McCallan Castles made a brief appearance before exiting early due to a left leg injury sustained during a scrimmage with the third-team offense. Castles limped off the field for evaluation by trainers.
Castles, a tight end, is one of eight undrafted rookies the Eagles signed after the recent NFL Draft. He played for the Tennessee Volunteers in 2023 and had earlier stints at Cal (2018-2019) and UC Davis (2020-2022). Known for his potential, Castles was seen as a promising candidate with the ability to impress the coaches and secure a spot on the team.
The former Tennessee Volunteer signed an undrafted free-agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles valued at $230,000.
